Planning bug: a later merge deleted every test subject while the lane-fix work item stayed ready
Defect
MOTIR-4041 was authored against four Playwright specs and a rendered /p/* surface in motir-core. A later merged parent pull request deleted all four specs because that surface moved, but the work item remained ready and pinned to motir-core. Dispatch therefore reached an impossible acceptance set.
Evidence
validate_work_item MOTIR-4041 reported moooon-B-V/motir-core#2492 as a later touching merge. Reading that diff showed the four named specs were deleted, not that the requested per-PR cloud lane had shipped.
Correction
Plan cmthsoldd00dshvn8s9w2xplh proposes retiring MOTIR-4041. Replacement public-project coverage belongs to MOTIR-3877 when that story is planned against its final shipped architecture. The lesson store now records that a subsumption advisory on a test path must classify the subject as preserved, moved, replaced, or deleted.
Acceptance criteria
- The planning record links this defect to MOTIR-4041 and the submitted corrective plan.
- Future test-card validation treats a later merged deletion or move of the subject as plan invalidation, not delivered coverage.
- No replacement lane is invented in the repository that no longer owns the rendered subject.
